What is Carrier Pre-Select (CPS)?
Carrier Pre-Select (CPS) is a service that allows you to use a voice carrier alternative
to BT for outbound telephone calls without having to dial a prefix or install any
special equipment at your premises. The lines and their maintenance are still provided
by BT (in order to use the services you need to be a BT customer), whilst
your calls are routed through one of our recommended national voice carriers.
Business Benefits
By using CPS you will have access to reduced call rates and a range of extra services
which will deliver immediate and substantial savings (up to 30%) and benefits to
your business. You can subscribe to the services of one or more carriers, with no
changes to your existing telephone systems, hardware, numbers or set-up and no loss
of service. The quality of the calls is not affected by the service and the activation,
which takes up to 10-15 days, will not affect the continuity of service.
Generally there is one simple order form to complete to subscribe to CPS and there
is no minimum contract or minimum spend commitment. If for any reason you are not
happy with the quality or price you are required to provide one month notice, before
transferring your subscription to a different provider or returning to BT.
